I received this figure on Christmas and I like it, It didn't appear on the show but it makes a nice figure. Let's move on.
Contents
You get one Gold Ranger, Shogun Armour pieces, a helmet and a sword. I couldn't find the box so It'll be a boxless figure review like some others.
Figure
The figure is nice, it has a sleek-ish look with some muscle here and there. It's nicely detailed and articulated. It's molded in a bronze-ish plastic with no sheen. The belt and other parts have gold paint. It would have been nice to have some Blue paint in the Mega Mode like the Shinkenger suit but the Black and Gold color scheme is nice.
It looks a little odd without the Armour. You can still see the cuts for the sound gimmick that the Red one had (not the Shogun One the regular one, one with Silver lining instead of gold)
You can still see where the batteries would go in.
The face is a little odd and the helmet has some inaccuracies but its nice how you can put it on or have it off. The back piece is a big inaccuracy but it works more with the Shogun Mode.
The Mega Blade is odd with "Gold" colors.
It pegs on the side but its quite large.
Just look at that.
The figure is nicely articulated and you can full off several poses.
With armour is great, even better. It doesn't hinder any articulation since the armour itself is articulated. However it does fall off easily.
Compared to it's 4" counterpart this figure is gigantic, it's about 10"-12" tall. You can see some differences between the figures.
Dislikes and Would Likes
Just a couple things, a smaller Mega Blade, Better Gold Paint for the suit and Armour, and just overall a better paint job, Black with Silver for the Mega Blade and such.

Have you tried putting any of the shogun armor (mostly the chestpieces) on the armored might figures to see how they'd look? It appears like they may fit over the muscles nicely.
ReplyDeleteNot a bad idea, I guess I'll give it a shot, maybe it'll be a picture in a future review.
