Review: Samurai Sentai Shinkenger- S.H. Figuarts Shinken Blue, Ikenami Ryuunosuke

So the 2nd Shinkenger in the roll call, Shinken Blue (シンケンブルー), Ikenami Ryuunosuke (池波 流ノ介). He's a kabuki actor who was summoned by Jii to meet up with Tono-Sama (Shinken Red, Shiba Takeru) during a show. He's very dedicated to what he's supposed to do and has been trained to be a Samurai if such a thing were to happen (the thing being Chimatsuri Dokoku waking up and the Gedoushu coming to the "Human" world). He is the Samurai of Water (水の侍 Mizu no Samurai), at first glance the Character looks cool and refined, upon watching the show I realize his true nature, exaggerating every little thing and asking Tono-sama to punish him whenever he feels he did something wrong,  He's just a very dedicated Samurai following the bushido code. He's a pretty likable character, oh he's also skilled in playing female Characters as shown in episode 8 due to his Kabuki Theater Training. He owns the Water Arrow (ウォーターアロー Wōtā Arō), the Ryuu (Dragon) Origami (龍折神) and the Kajiki (Marlin) Origami (舵木折神), their respective disks and is very skilled in Swordplay almost as good as Tono-sama's. Also for whatever reason I might label him as M...  Keep in mind that this was a Tamashii Web Exclusive so it will be difficult to find it for a cheap price, I've seen him on ebay for around 80-100 bucks. Let's a move on.

Box

I love the Shinken Blue box, the picture on the front has Ryuu-san in a firm stance rather than a cool pose like Tono-sama's box. The Side has the Kanji for Water (), Samurai Sentai Shinkenja, Shinken Blue. The back has some really nice pictures of the figure with it's main accessories and info about detail and stuff.
The top has Shinken Blue, Ryunosuke Ikenami, the Hexagon with the Kanji for blue which is Ryuu Origami's emblem mode and the Shiba Clan emblem.

Contents

You get 1 Shinken Blue figure, 3 pairs of hands and several posing hands, 1 Water Arrow, 1 Ryuu Origami Emblem Mode, 1 Ryuu Origami animal mode, 1 shodo phone brush mode, 1 Shinkenmaru, 1 Common disk, 1 Ryuu Disk.

Figure

"Similarity" sounds better than "the same," it gives of the feel of Onajiku when it rolls of the tongue.
Since the base figure is basically a repainted Shinken Red body or Shinkenger body it's basically the same, the Head however is nicely sculpted but it does look off and a bit stylized. Like I've mentioned before I like the Power Rangers Samurai 4" figure Helmet sculpts better. The shade of blue is really nice and because of all the articulation you can pull of not so cool poses.
Like Shinken Red and the Akibaranger this figure has a ton of articulation and it's really nice. The figure doesn't have many issues, mine in the left shoulder the shoulder piece is a little tight so I'm extra careful.

Accessories

Three pairs of hands and 4 posing right hands and 3 posing left hands plus some other neat stuff.

Pairs

Fists for his "cool" poses and firm stances.
Relaxed hands for relaxed poses or "Tono-sama! sumimasen deshita!" poses.
Shinkenmaru holding hands which he can use to hold the Shinkenmaru.

Left Hands

A hand which holds the Water Arrow a not nicer than the other two.
An open hand almost karate chop but not hand for spinning the disks in the Shinkenmaru poses.
Open hand for "Ikenami Ryuunosuke!" poses.
It also works for Kabuki style poses or really awesome Mojikara writing poses.

Right Hands

Emblem holding hand type 1, which is the same as Tono-Sama's which holds it nicely.
Emblem holding hand type 2 which holds it a lot nicer.
Shodophone holding hands.

"V" style hands for other poses such as firing the Water Arrow.
You can also pull off a "Sailor Moon~~!" pose... seriously that is like one of my favorite animes.

Weapons and Other Items

You get one shodophone which is nicely painted and sculpted.
A Shinkenmaru and Common disk which is removable.
A Ryuu Origami in emblem mode.
Works for a lot of poses.
The Ryuu Origami in Animal Mode looks awesome and has an articulated neck.

Water Arrow

Oh the water arrow, I love the design plus it's the only main weapon that is long range. It shoots water and stuff. The color scheme is also pretty nice, the nice silver and blue with some gold.
It has the Kanji for water in front.
The structure is pretty nice.
You can pull out the handle but be careful and don't force it out since the plastic isn't that strong and it can break.
The Water arrow also comes with the Ryuu Disk ((龍ディスク Ryū Disuku) with a sticker which is falling off on mine...
The disk is too big to fit onto the Shinkenmaru unfortunately.
It's a pretty sweet accessory, I absolutely love it.

Dislikes and Would Likes

Minor issues, maybe a Kajiki disk and a Ryuu Disk for the Shinkenmaru, that's about it.

Overall

I absolutely love this figure, specially with Tono-Sama around and the other Shinkengers, alone it's equally awesome since the amount of accessories and detail can be great for display. If you like the Blue Rangers, Samurai Sentai Shinkenger, Super Sentai, Power Ranger, or Power Rangers Samurai this is the perfect figure for you. I'm sure it'll satisfy you eye candy needs.
Oh no Ryuu-san is under control!
