Review: Samurai Sentai Shinkenger - S.H. Figuarts Shinken Yellow, Hanaori Kotoha

5th and last in the Shinkenger lineup... or at least for now, wow, it's been not so much time since I reviewed Tono-sama eh? Anyways, Shinken Yellow (シンケンイエロー ), Hanaori Kotoha (花織 ことは ), is the Earth Samurai (土の侍 Tsuchi no Samurai), she's really there in place of her sister who fell ill and couldn't really be Shinken Yellow. She has a Kyoto Accent and is a very clumsy girl, she's so adorable. In episode 2 I believe, after she goes off on her own to train and Ryunosuke, Chiaki and Mako find her she says that she's never been good with the bamboo work at home and the only two things she was good at were the Sword and the Flute. A girl with very low self-esteem and very high loyalty to her Tono. She thinks she is stupid but she has come up with plans, she's a nice gentle girl is willing to help others. Her arsenal comes with the Shinkenger basic battle pack and her own personal weapons. Land Slicer (ランドスライサー), Saru Origami (猿折神), Saru Disk (猿ディスク) etc... This figure is a Tamashii Web exclusive so it'll be difficult to find for a decent price.

Plus for those Baka's who don't know what baka means, baka means stupid. Don't misunderstand this, I was only informing you, it's not like I like you or anything... B-baka.

Box

Like I said with the Megaforce Yellow, Gold and Yellow don't usually go together, the box however looks really nice, but it looks really weird at the same time, The box has Shinken Yellow and a picture of her in a standard standing pose, it also has the Katakana Shinken Iero under the English text. The back of the box has nice pictures of Shinken Yellow, one thing I noticed is that her sword is the only one of the Main 5 that has the Red line on the sword, so that's accurate, however the others didn't have it. The side has the Kanji for Earth and Shinken Yellow under "Samurai Sentai Shinkenjaa"

Shinken Yellow and the Triangle with round edges and a stylized Earth Symbol, it has the Shiba Clan Logo next to the Kotoha Hanaori.

Shinken Yellow uses the Female Shinkenger base body just with yellow, the only part that's different from the main body is pretty much the Head, it's a new sculpt, I might actually skip the Mooger until I get it and review Wave 2... Nevertheless, The Helmet is stylized and the head is nice but it's not show accurate.

The yellow is nice, and one thing I forgot to say about the guys is the inaccurate emblem they have, the girls have a more accurate emblem. The Shade of Yellow is also nice, and it's a really nice looking figure.

Accessories

8 Right hands, 3 left hands, Land Slicer, Saru Disk, Shinkenmaru and Disk, Skirt bits, Shodophone, Origami in both modes and the main figure.

Fists for all sorts of poses.

Relaxed open palm.

Shodo phone holding hands which can hold disks.

"Devil's Horns" hands which can be used for white a lot of things... Sailor Moon! I mean... other things.

A very nicely sculpted Sword

With removable disk.

It looks like the prop rather than the toy.

Can be nicely held.

The Saru Origami is nicely sculpted and painted, it has all the detail and it even has articulated arms.

Land Slicer!

The Land Slicer is one of the nicest looking weapons in the last decade. It can be used as a boomerang and it has a handle, the Shiba clan logo is painted in and everything else around is detailed. The blades are thing and fragile so when you take out the  disk be very careful not to push against the blades.

It's very pointy and the handle is removable.

the disk is pretty nice.

Dislikes and Would Likes

She's pretty perfect except for the fact that she needs another holding hand for the left hand, Unlike Chiaki who barely ever uses both hands to use his sword, Kotoha normally uses both hands. A cloth skirt would be nice.

Overall

Overall, another good figure, like Pink it has it's flaws but then again, it has so many good things that it really is better than it is bad. If you're a fan of the Show or anything related to it I say you get it, but it wont be easy for a decent price.
