The Gosei Great Megazord retains part of it's name from it's Japanese Counterpart, Gosei Great (without the Megazord). It's formed out of 5 Mechazords, Phoenix, Shark, Snake, Tiger and Dragon. When I first looked at the design around 2011 I was skeptical whether or not I liked the design, after watching Goseiger I started liking the design (similar to my relationship with Go-Busters, Kakuranger, and Kyoryuger [shows]). In fact, now I love the design, It's summoned when Troy Summons the Dragon Mechazord, Noah the Shark Mechazord, Emma the Phoenix Mechazord, Gia the Tiger Mechazord and Jake the Snake Mechazord. They combine and make the Gosei Great Megazord. The Powers out course given by Gosei, a Zordon like entity.
Figure
Now, The figure is pretty nice, it has a very stylized look which is a given since the Retrofires all have a stylized look. I have absolutely no problem with this. It's very nicely detailed and the Zords (Headders) are all nicely detailed, The Dragon Zord, Shark Zord, Phoenix Zord, Tiger Zord, and Snake Zord are all detailed, teeth, eyes, and the little shield over their eyes is very nicely detailed.
Articulation
This guy is really poseable, you can do just about anything, the Necks of the Phoenix and Shark Rotate, the Head is on a ball joint. The Waist rotates, the Arms can go up and down, in and out a bit, the Shoulder bit restricts articulations a bit. The legs can go in and out and forward and back. The leg can also rotate at the thigh. The Necks of the Snake and Tiger are articulated, they can go up and down. So this is a really poseable figure.
Add the sword and you can do a lot of things with this toy.
Details
Of course the toy is very nicely detailed, the heads of the zords are nicely detailed having the teeth and eyes sculpted in, the ears or horns, beaks and snouts are all nice.
The back of the Zord is detailed as well having a vent on the back, the back side of the lower torso, the waist is also sculpted in the front. The Top of the wings is also nicely detailed having the ports sculpted in.
The Head is absolutely beautiful, it has all the paint needed even the eyeliner. The Wings and the Logo's for Earth, Sky and Sea. The Rest of the figure has most of the ports nicely painted silver except for the wings.Accessories
What's a Megazord without a Weapon eh? ... maybe some exceptions but he comes with his weapons as he does in the show, the Zord. Now you can slash your opponents to death! (Kids don't try this at home) Anyways, the Zord's Sword is detailed and even looks like the neck piece of the dragon and the tail which makes up the sword itself.
It's a great accessory and you can pose him really well with it.
Like the Rest of the Megaforce toyline it comes with a Card or Power Card. The picture used is a really nice artpiece of the Gosei Great Megazord.
The back Reads, "Saban's Power Rangers, Action Card Game." The card shows the power levels, Nothing over 9000 or 8000. The card say's Megaforce, Gosei Great Megazord.
It also Makes a sound in the Gosei Morpher.
Scaling
The scaling of this is really good, you can put it next to your other mechas and it looks fantastic. It's a great Retrofire, it stands about 6 inches tall and looks great on display, you can make it fight other figures that are similar to that scale.
Other lines that would go great with this include the figuarts, Monsterarts and Ultra-acts, the Vinyl monsters can also go well with this.
Like every figure, it has the Good, The Bad, and the Ugly. One big issue I had with this toy was the lack of paint, It's missing a great amount of paint, If it had what it lacks It would'a been FANTASTIC! Of course you can always customize it. Also as much as things can get in the way, I don't really find it annoying, the shoulder bits can get in the way, it may be a problem for some of you. Also the feet can be missing just a tiny bit of detail due to the articulation points. Remember, the more Articulation the Less Detail (The More You Know).![]() |

Likes and Dislikes
Something worth Mentioning, the Shoulder bits are Removable, the Wings have a tendency of falling off easily and if you fool around too much with this toy the shoulder bits will fall off too.
Overall
Overall it's a great display piece for Adults and collectors. It also makes a great Toy that you can play around with. It's also a great model. With minor Issues It makes a great figure, The Gosei Great Candy toy could also be an alternative, you just have to build it and apply stickers or paint it, the payoff is the transformation and articulation, Or you could wait for the Super Robot Chogokin whenever they announce it... whenever that may be.
So I greatly recommend this figure for your collection and or display. It's completely worth it.
